Hypnotheraphy

Hypnotherapy “the glue which helps stick therapy together”.  Nurturing Change offers Indirect Ericksonian based Hypnotherapy incorporating NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming).  Hypnotherapy is a deep, relaxed trance state (not sleep).  Therefore, some clients feel they have not been hypnotised, because they are aware throughout and in some cases speak or move during the session.

People fall into a trance many times in a day.  How often do you:

  • drive home and wondered ‘did I slow down for the speed camera?’
  • surprise yourself how you ended up somewhere?
  • watch a movie and need to rewind as you seem to have missing parts?
  • find yourself re-reading pages in a book, as your imagination takes over?

This is because we spend a lot of our day in a natural trance state.  You may not even realise it.

Curious about how YOUR unconscious mind controls your behaviour..?

Hypnotherapy is the key to the unconscious mind.

For the hypnotherapy to work, the client and therapist work together.  If the client resists, it will not work.  This is why time is taken, utilising NLP techniques, to review the background surrounding the client’s: beliefs, circumstance, values, attitude or habit.  Incorporating light trance, to help the client become used to a more hypnotic deeper relaxing trance.  Once we are both comfortable, we will begin to talk directly to the unconscious mind.  Each session is bespoke in a way which is just right for you.

I don’t know whether it is the gentle, conversational approach of indirect hypnotherapy, that encourages the client to book the appointment or whether it is the desired outcome that finds them dialling Nurturing Change for an appointment.

Estelle was amazing with me.  I’ve been to see quite a few other therapists, and none have done anything for me.  In just one session Estelle was able to hone in on what I needed and helped me focus on my life again.  100% would recommend to anyone

What to expect…

The initial consultation will be around 90 minutes, with information being gathered and a strategy formulated for your requirements.  The following session/s will be conversational, with some light trance work, lasting 60-90 minutes.  The final session will include a deeper relaxation trance around 90-120 minutes.  A follow-up session is optional if both the client and Hypnotherapist feel it will be of benefit.

The room will have a recliner chair for your comfort, or you may choose the therapy bed for deeper relaxation.

The number of sessions will be dependent on your own personal circumstance.  Aftercare and ‘homework’ may form part of the session.  So please bring along a pen and paper so that notes can be taken.  Your co-operation in this area will lead to improved results.
